What is this “CHGC” you’ve heard about?
CHGC stands for Community Health Giving Circle. A giving circle is a group of like-minded people who pool money for philanthropy. CHGC supports organizations that improve our community’s health and gives IWIL members a chance to be leaders by giving back to the community.
Your donation is amplified! We are able to give out more per person than is donated because we have a growing investment fund to draw on.
Learn about your community’s needs! CHGC is able to know about community organization’s needs that members may not even be aware of.
Participate in deciding together who receives our grants! IWIL members who donate at least $250 (tax deductible) can participate in voting which organizations receive our yearly grants to support a healthy community. We will, however, accept any size of donation, big or small!
Its fun to gather, learn about our community, discuss and give out money together! We also enjoy hearing from our grant recipients at our grant reception in the fall. We will gather to vote on August 18 and celebrate with a grant reception October 22.
We are collecting for the 2026 grants now! You can donate at IWIL217.org on IWIL’s CHGC page. Clicking “donate now” takes you to the Community Foundations page, CFLL.org. Click on the Donate button and type in the box “IWIL Community Health Giving Circle Fund” to donate to our fund.
